Setting priorities

I stumble upon this post.. that says:

"To change your life you need to change your priorities."

and it hit me right to the bone, up to the marrow, out through the heart.. that's how deep this message is for me. Priorities are set so goals can be achieve. damn right! so yeah, I am changing my priorities and this time I will make sure it will work out just right.

I believe that if we focus our energy in achieving something whether it's our goal or just plain something.. we could no matter how hard it is, we can do it.

so this time around I am boosting up my optimism to the nth level but having my right foot on the pedal just in case I need to slow down a little bit.

Breathtaking Batanes

Batanes is located up north all the way to the very end of Luzon..

I've seen a lot of places, in the Philippines and also abroad and what we have in Batanes is nothing compared to what I've seen, yes there maybe a lot more interesting and much more breath taking than Batanes.. but hey! I've never been so proud that we actually have this amazingly beautiful place.

So virgin with the technology, so simple yet surviving, so classic yet very interesting.

When I arrived there, I got a little bit of separation anxiety to wi-fi, data, cellphone signal, basically all my social media.. I'm back to basics! but after a day, I get to enjoy more of what's in front of me, the view.. the nature.. the surroundings.. I'm guilty of how much we take advantage of the simple things in life and never really get a chance to stop and be mesmerized..

God's work is amazing as long as people take good care of it. I appreciate the nature more, and I love my country more. I'm a talker so I always put Palawan on top of the list whenever friends from another country asked me which place in the Philippines worth visiting to. though, I will not stop bragging about Palawan.. it's one amazing place too, but I'll be bragging Batanes more often now.

The flight and hotels there are very expensive, I agree. but it's worth it! every peso we spent there is better than spending in a different country. I, on the other hand has the same mentality when I heard how much we'll be spending and man, It's not cheap at all. with the same amount, I can book a flight all the way back to the states. but hey, we gave it a try and it did not disappoint.

It made me realized something, traveling to Hongkong is fun or any other country for that matter, having another stamp in your passport is great.. but nothing is much more greater than being in your own country and actually proud to be there because of how amazing it is. I was never patriotic, but I do sound a little bit of that now.. only because of this weekend trip.

They keep on comparing Batanes to New Zealand and you'll always hear the phrase "the New Zealand of the Philippines".. and I could't agree more coz they are both amazingly beautiful. but the thing is, I wouldn't like to brand Batanes as New Zealand.. it's just Batanes! Batanes of the Philippines. not the copy cat of any country. maybe we can start from there and be proud that we have a breathtaking, wonderful place called BATANES.

so are you ready to take the leap and spend a little bit more than usual just to see how beautiful it is? Go ahead! I dare you to.. coz I promise you, It's worth it!

This is the chapel on the hill, very beautiful one..

Sorry for the PDA, but can't help not to get a little bit romantic in this place.

The best view ever!

One of the light house in Basco where you can have a 360* view of the town proper

It's 150 steps down and 150 steps up when you reach this point, it's worth it!

The famous Honesty store, where you can leave cash or take his goods without paying.. its really up to you.. coz no one will stop you, no one's there!

Of course, it'll be a sucker if you wont be able to experience how to be an Ivatan by wearing their headdress and go inside the authentic Ivatan stone house. oh btw, that is the oldest house in Batanes. how cool right?

Can you pin point where the cow is? I wonder how the hell he got there.. they can balance pretty well though.. hehe

who wouldn't want to cuddle up here? sheeshh...

ohhhh Lobster is just their normal food..

so.. after all the photos (which btw are not filtered) and I only used my phone camera, are you convinced yet? if not, go see for yourself.. and be ready to be amazed!

Getting that dream back

It has been years since the last time I blogged about anything.. so I'm making a new one.. this is the 3rd installment of my blog in this website, though I choose to keep the others private now.

Let me start this by writing about that dream that I was holding on for too long.. got it a few years back, but lost it. I actually don't know what came into me to write again, maybe I'm just bored to death since I just stayed home the whole day resting.. No work, yes. 5 more days to go and i'm officially self employed.

Yes, I quit my job last month and my 30 days notice is due on May 20 and I can't wait. I have been contemplating in quitting my day job since last year and this is the only time that I gave in..

I'm pursuing that lost dream! I am! and I will not stop at anything. I think, this is the best time as well.. Besides, how will I accomplish it if I'm not going to start now right?

So first step is to quit my day job.. that's check!
Next is to start building the dream.. that's another check!
Then lastly make it work.. that's on the other hand is coming soon..
